American Wing Man Vs. Foreign Wing Man
Posted on October 30th, 2009 No comments
If you’re traveling abroad you might be wondering if it’s better to get a local wing man/guide or go with your American buddy (or Austrailian/Canadian/etc.)? There are benefits to both and also downsides.Money
The American wing man will gladly help you pay for expenses, drinks, or anything else where the cost was shared. The foreign wing man may be more strapped for cash and may be less inclined inclined to help with the bills. Some might even expect you to pay for everything. You should probably iron out the details of who’s paying for what with your foreign wing man, but just know that he might not have as much cash as you do.Time
The American wing man will generally be on time, and show up when asked. Foreign guys are less use to rigid schedules, and being on time in general.Women
Foreign guys might not be as aggressive or use to approaching women out of the blue like some American guys that are use to the American type of bar and club scene. Foreign guys rely more on their social circle and friends to meet the women they date. Also there may be a chance that your foreign wing man has an ego problem. Some foreign guys do have ego problems because they’ve had it easy with the opposite sex their whole lives, and they let it go to their heads and think it’s do to their great looks or skills with women, and that is has nothing to do with where they live.
Also foreign wing men will be much more picky about who you hang it with and where you hang out and also who you approach and date. Foreigners are much more sensitive to social classes and usually hang out in places that cater to their social class. With an American wing man on the other hand you won’t have the worry about this problem, you can date women from any class or approach women from any class without having to worry about how your wing man feels about this.
Picking Locations
The foreign wing man has the upper hand here as he will know where the best places are to meet the local women. He also has the advantage of already having a large social circle of his friends and relatives. Although now and days picking locations is getting much and much easier with the information available on the Internet. Still there’s nothing better then a local to give you the inside scoop on a destination.Language
One of the greatest advantages of a foreign wing man is that he will know the language. This will help with negotiations, haggling, and any where else where conversation is needed. Your foreign wing man can also educate you or pickup the local slang, which is a part of the dialect in every region, and even changes from city to city even within the same country. One possible drawback of a foreign wing man in this area is that he might not speak your language well (most likely English). And if you don’t speak his, there could be potential communication problems.
Safety
The foreign wing man will know where to go and where no to go. Having home field advantage he’ll be able to avoid situations where safety might be an issue. This is another one of the great advantages of having a foreign wing man when you travel abroad. That’s pretty much it, the most ideal situation is probably to have a well traveled American wing man who’s fluent in the language and a veteran traveler. One of the best benefits I’ve found of traveling in packs with other American’s is sharing the costs of things. But adding a local guy to the mix and getting a small group going wouldn’t be bad idea either.

What Happens To Game And Pickup During A Recession?
Posted on October 29th, 2009 2 comments
When it comes to dating in such a highly competitive environment such as the United States, you need stand out from the rest of the pack in order to date the most desirable women. It’s social Darwinism (for men). In the beginning of my book on international dating, I go into all the factors that make your local dating scene an uphill battle with many chips stacked against you, which practically forces you to work to stand out in some way, or stay single. If you’re very wealthy, you’ll be able to meet and date the most sought after women because of your wealth. If you have great looks, this helps you stand out too, and you’ll meet women this way. If you have sophistication, and “game”, you’ll also stand out from the crowd and date the most desirable women.
Popular belief in the online dating community and seduction community holds that “game” trumps everything. In other words a guy who is really smooth, and sophisticated will get better results with women then a guy with a ton of money or guy with looks like a male model.
Whether or not this is true, one thing is for certain. As the economy continues it’s downward slide, money and wealth will become much more important than both looks or game, and here’s why:
First of all, let’s look at the past circumstances. In a country like the United States, a country with one of the highest recent standards of living, the average income is about 40k/year. Material possessions are common; credit is usually easy to come by. Having a nice car, or even your own small apartment doesn’t really make you stand out. In an area like Northern New Jersey/New York City where the average income is 50k/year if you make 60k/year, you’re just a little above average. That doesn’t sound like an income that really makes you stand outside of the pack, at least not where I live…
My point is, that in the past, “game” may have been more important then money. Why? Because when times were good, everyone had a good amount of money. What guy didn’t have money to spend on drinks for his date? What guy didn’t have money to buy dinner? Most men had money to buy a nice car. Most men had money to spend on the women they were dating, and most guys overspent. Which is one of the reasons why the seduction community teaches men not to spend money or buy drinks or dinner, so that they can stand out from all the other guys that DO buy drinks and dinner and overspend.
So, when money was falling out of trees, having a bit of it really didn’t set you apart. So maybe having “game” would set you apart more then having money.
But what happens during this long term downward trend where massive amounts of wealth is being lost, many men are loosing their jobs, credit is tight, and standards of living are dropping?
The truth is money isn’t as easy to come by as it use to be in the United States. And as money and wealth become scarcer, the law of supply and demand dictates that they will also become more sought after.
I’ll give you one small example (although I have many). I have many female friends back in New Jersey and while I’m back here in New Jersey, I’ve caught up with a lot of them. One of the biggest complaints I’ve heard about boyfriends and guys they’re dating is that they’re being cheap, or that they’re broke. One friend specifically mentioned that she was about to dump her boyfriend because he doesn’t buy her anything and because he’s being cheap. But guys aren’t the only ones feeling the pinch. For example girls that were working in bars or as waitresses aren’t making as much money as they use, just to name one small industry.
The good old days of the “game” trump card are over. And as this economic downturn is expected to span at least a 5 to 10 year period if not more, you can expect that money and wealth will be what sets you apart from the pack the most, going forward.
Ever heard of phrase “cash is king”? It’s certainly starting to look that way.

Do the World’s Most Beautiful Women Live in Venezuela?
Posted on October 28th, 2009 3 comments
Life.com recently released an article titled “Venezuela’s Most Beautiful Women“. It’s a series of pictures of current and past pageant contestants and winners.Miss Venezuela (Dayana Mendoza featured in the picture) most recently won the title of Miss Universe for 2009, bringing the grand total of Venezuela wins to a whooping 6.
Having been to Venezuela myself, I have to agree that Venezuelan women are amazingly attractive. An afternoon stroll down one of the busy avenues in the center of the city leaves you with more then eyeful of slender, attractive “chamas” (Venezuelan slang for chica or girl).
Night clubs and in Caracas are no different, and my Venezuelan female friends have confessed to me in the past over some drinks that they have to fight tooth and nail for their men against all the other single ladies.
If it wasn’t for the reports of violence and increased crime in Venezuela I probably would have gone back already. I may have to go and verify the reports for myself. But there are many other places including Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, and Costa Rica where the women are just as friendly and attractive, and crime isn’t as much of an issue.
Although there are many pretty women in Venezuela I would say that it’s definitely not a place you want to venture into unless you’re a Veteran traveler, fluent in Spanish, and are a bit more risk averse.
The one negative about Venezuela at the moment, is that the mismanagement of the Economy by President Hugo Chavez, has resulted in high inflation, increasingly difficult times economically, and shortages of basic necessities like water, and electricity. Rolling black outs are common place, and Chavez recently urged all Venezuelans to take 3 minute showers to conserve water.
In part due to these reasons, crime and violence has increased dramatically in Venezuela over the past decade, most notably in the city of Caracas, the capital of Venezuela. Although there are no outright “travel warnings” for Venezuela on the government websites, Venezuela and Caracas still remain high up on the list of crime and homicide rates.
Still having said all of this, I’m reminded of my European friend who told me a story about a team of engineers from his company in Spain who were sent to Venezuela for a six month stint. Out of the team of 11 engineers 7 of them came back from Venezuela married. And no that is not an exaggeration.

What Happens If You Get A Foreign Woman Pregnant?
Posted on October 27th, 2009 4 comments
I stumbled onto a question on yahoo answers from someone who may have gotten a foreign woman pregnant and now wants to know what could possibly be consequences immigration wise and with child support. The question got me thinking about a few important aspects of traveling abroad that need to addressed. Here goes:
#1. American men, and men from other similar countries like Canada, Australia, and the UK have astounding reputations with foreign women. Women look up to us as the cream of the crop when it comes to men. We’re seen in general as highly educated, considerate, and ambitious among other things. Foreign women look at us much in the same way many of us look at foreign women as the best this world has to offer. Let’s not ruin our excellent reputation by acting without discretion or integrity when we travel abroad.
#2. Let’s not give the feminist movement anymore excuses to put barriers in our way to meeting foreign women. There are people in this world who would love nothing more then to ban 100% all your interaction with foreign women. Acting irresponsibly while traveling abroad, especially in your interactions with foreign women will only add fuel to the fire, and give these people more amo to put up more barriers. The International Marriage Broker Regulation Act is just one small example of the draconian measures that could be placed on your freedom to take part in international dating and meeting foreign women.
#3. Don’t take it out on these sweet foreign women. I know some of us might have a bit of resentment or bitterness towards women in general because I know a lot of us have gone through some tough times with our local women. Nasty divorces, custody battles, child support, bad breakups, alimony, cheating girlfriends, I know, I know. When you travel abroad make sure you don’t take it out on the foreign ladies because they seriously don’t deserve it.
#4. Use protection. I shouldn’t have to say this but some guys might need to hear it. It’s not worth the risk of STDs or getting a girl pregnant. It’s just the responsible thing to do.
#5. If a condom breaks or you get a foreign girl pregnant somehow I would hope that you do the responsible thing. If there is one bright side to a situation like this, it’s that fathering a child abroad would probably be much much cheaper then fathering a child in the U.S. or Canada, etc.
#6. When in doubt, act with Integrity. Foreign women are the sweetest most feminine creatures on this planet, they deserve to be treated with honesty, kindness, and respect. Let’s give them the best we have to offer. If any women deserve this treatment it’s definitely them!
I personally don’t know whether the guy asking the question just had a bad “break” with a condom or what, but for those of you wondering what the consequences might be, I did a bit of research and came up with this answer:
If you have a child support assessment or court order or child maintenance order from an overseas country that has an agreement with your country of residence (I’m assuming it’s the U.S.), the overseas authority can request the U.S. Child Support Agency to collect the child support from you. Now I’m not a lawyer, so I would suggest getting professional legal advice to get the definitive answer.

Top Ten Ways To Live, Work, And Travel Abroad
Posted on October 26th, 2009 3 comments
A lot of people gawk at the thought of traveling oversees to meet foreign women, or simply just to take in new experiences, cultures, food, music and life. For some people traveling seems something far and distant, too much of a hassle, and sometimes too expensive. So how can you make traveling easy and natural, maybe even part of your life? I’ve made a list of some of the top ways you can travel, and even live and work abroad.Work remotely from home
With technology these days it’s very possible for many people to start working remotely either for their current employer or by providing their own professional services from home. Once you take things remote, you can easily then travel to any place that has an Internet connection and bring along your laptop to work from the road. This is by far one of the best ways to travel extensively, and make money at the same time. Take a quick peek at websites like guru.com or freelancer.com just to see what type of services are being offered by remote workers from all over the world, as well as from all over the U.S.Get a job on a cruise ship
Cruise ships are great ways to travel and make some money at the same time. Cruise ships usually hire people for 3-6 month stints, so you get a nice amount of vacation time after you do your time on the ship. Food and lodging will be free and you’ll get a salary. You also get to explore different places when the ship docs at various locations.Get an oversees job
Multinational companies often offer jobs oversees for qualified individuals. There are various websites like latpro.com and monster.com where you can search for opportunities to work abroad.Get a job that involves a lot of traveling
A job that includes a lot of travel could offer your opportunities to stay abroad for decent periods of time. Jobs within marketing or product divisions of companies looking to expand into Latin America or the other pro-male regions are good places to look. Jobs within the hotel industry or tourism industry are also great places to find jobs that let you travel.Get transferred
If you already work for a multi-national, look for opportunities to get transferred abroad within the company. Look within your company website to see what opportunities might be available abroad.Do a semester abroad
If your still in college I would suggest doing a semester or preferably two semesters abroad. You can even study in countries like Brazil. I wish I had known this when I was in school!Volunteer
There are various websites on the Internet that offer you the opportunity to travel while volunteering. Cross Cultural Solutions is just one of these websites, but there are many others. Just do a good search for “volunteer abroad” + “the country or region you are most interested in”. These are great ways to give back and contribute to society as well as get some travel experience. Another benefit of many of these programs is that they pay for everything.Take a vacation
Save up vacation time, sick days, and personal days and pile them up together to take a long vacation abroad. I always recommend at least two weeks as the minimum stay. But three to four weeks would be best if you can swing it.Get a job in the military
The military might be another way to consider traveling abroad, BUT I’m not sure of how one would go about being stationed in Colombia as opposed to Iraq or Afghanistan! I do always meet veterans and guys who have been in the military who start to travel while they do their service and then end up moving abroad, or traveling extensively after they leave the military.Take a sabbatical
If you’ve worked somewhere long enough, chances are you may have the option to take a sabbatical. Look within your companies policies and see if they have any policies for sabbaticals. A sabbatical usually involves you taking time off from work (sometimes even with pay, or at least a percentage of your pay) for up to six months to a year. If your company doesn’t define any policies for sabbaticals then you may have to inquire with your managers or human resources. -

An American Girl In Miami Can’t Compete With All The Latinas
Posted on October 23rd, 2009 4 comments
I ran into an interesting article over at visavisamag.com titled: “It’s not easy being a white girl in Miami“. It was interesting article about an American woman who doesn’t feel she can compete for the attention of men in Miami because of all of the feminine Latin women who among other things, stay in shape, don’t gain weight, dress to impress, and aren’t afraid to show their feminine curves. The article didn’t surprise me one bit. And one particular part of the article really struck a cord with me. Lyn Millner, the author of this article writes: “Miami pulses, thrums and throbs with sex. The climate helps, but mainly it’s the café-con-leche goddesses with full lips, unruly hair and inviting eyes. These women would look gorgeous if they made no effort at all. But they dress up even when they go to the dry cleaners – in body hugging T-shirts, low-slung jeans, short skirts and strappy heels. Having a less-than-perfect figure doesn’t stop a Latina. She simply knows what to do. She is never overweight; she is unapologetically curvaceous. OK, so I’m generalizing, but this is what Miami looks like through a white girl’s eyes. There’s a negative way of looking at it. Val says the women in Miami dress like prostitutes.”
Everything in that article makes sense, however that last sentence is something that I’ve heard before word for word. Many years ago one of my good Latino friends named Javier was dating an American white girl from Northern New Jersey. They met in college and dated for many years. When they first met, his girlfriend was slim and attractive, but over time, as happens with many American women, she put on a lot of weight. A few years into their relationship my friend Javier who was from Santa Cruz Bolivia decided to take a trip back home. His girlfriend was madly in love with him so she decided to surprise him by going herself to Santa Cruz Bolivia.
What she found when she arrived in Santa Cruz Bolivia was definitely not to her liking. Santa Cruz much like many other foreign cities is a city well known for it’s fierce female competition. Ladies compete amongst themselves by staying in shape, flirting aggressively, and overall being very very feminine and girly. If Miami is the equivalent to a AK-47 then a city like Santa Cruz is an A-bomb.
Javier’s girlfriend had a tough time dealing with all the sexy Latin women who were flirting with her boyfriend. When she came back from Bolivia I asked her how her trip was, and guess what: She said she hated it, and that she’s never going back to Bolivia. And much like many American women’s defensive reactions to foreign women, she stated that “Bolivian women were sluts and that they dressed like prostitutes.”
Sound familiar?
It seems that now and days American women fall into two groups. One group accepts the fact that foreign women are more feminine, sexy, and attractive in many ways. They look to foreign women as an example of femininity, and try to learn from them. Then you have another group, which is probably the larger of the two, who feels threatened by these foreign ladies. Their only defense mechanism is to attack foreign women with generalizations, insults, and negativity.
I’ll end this blog post with one final excerpt from the article:
“I teach a class once a week at Florida International University in North Miami. The students are mostly women – from Argentina, Venezuela, Chile, Puerto Rico, all points Caribbean – and, always, there are one or two male students who look stunned the first day and spend the entire semester sneaking furtive looks at the females.
The only reason I’m able to muster the courage to show up week after week is that I’m invisible to these women. College instructors are expected to bulge in all the wrong places, have no hair or be missing an eyeball – like a child’s favorite doll.
In Miami, men pay attention to exotic women. It’s all about dark. Dark hair, dark eyes, dark skin, dark mystery. White girls can’t compete. If we look like soccer moms, it’s because that’s the best we can do. At a party one time, a hot guy struck up a conversation with me by asking whether I had kids. When I said, “No. Why do you ask?” he told me I looked like the perfect mom. Seeing my reaction and sensing he’d said something wrong, he backpedaled. “I meant that in a good way. A pretty mom.”

An American Girls Reaction To The International Dating Lifestyle
Posted on October 19th, 2009 No commentsI found myself in an Interesting conversation with an American girl a few days ago. When she found about my traveling lifestyle and my interest in foreign women some common stereotypes and misconceptions surfaced in the conversation.
At one point in the conversation I mentioned that I had been to Brazil and was planning on going back. Her eye’s flared a bit; at her learning that someone would dare travel into a country such as Brazil. Apparently one of her best guy friends had married a Brazilian lady and traveled to Brazil himself. According to this guy he had a great time, and that doesn’t surprise me, but it didn’t seem to convince this American girl one bit that Brazil could just be a nice place, with nice people, good food and good weather, not to mention amazing women.
I got a kick when she told me to “watch out for the women” because “they’re just out in the streets,” whatever that meant. She also threw in the typical AIDS rate myth telling me that many of those girls have AIDS. I just smiled and tried to explain to her that this wasn’t the case. In fact here are the most recent AIDS numbers according to the world health organization:
United States:
Estimate Adult HIV Prevalence 2007: 0.6%
Number of People Living With HIV 2007: 1,200,000
Percentage of Population Living With HIV 2007: 3.9%Brazil:
Estimate Adult HIV Prevalence 2007: 0.6%
Number of People Living With HIV 2007: 730,000
Percentage of Population Living With HIV 2007: 3.8%You can view these numbers for yourself at the world health organization websites, the CIA fact book or even wikipedia:
1. Wikipedia AIDS Adult Prevalence
2. World Health Organization AIDS Country Information
3. CIA World Fact Book People Living With AidsAll in all Brazil ranks along side countries like Spain, United States, Italy, France, and Argentina when it comes to the spread of AIDS within it’s population. If you’re going to be sexually active, you have just as much risk and exposure to AIDS in Brazil then in any of these countries.
I found it pretty amusing that even to this day, with good information available for free and easily accessible format online, from reliable government and international agencies, countries like Brazil still get a bad rap. In any case, I shrugged off her comment and moved on in the conversation.
It turns out that we did agree on something about Brazil when another topic came up. While we were talking about her guy friend who married a Brazilian girl, she mentioned that this guy had traveled to Brazil with his wife and that other Brazilian girls were hitting on her husband right in her face! I got a kick out of that and I can totally see that happening, but that’s just the nature of the Brazilian dating scene. Girls are very aggressive in countries like Brazil, Colombia, and Costa Rica and I agreed with her that this was the case.
Finally the conversation shifted to the fact that I’m a U.S. citizen that this girl made a comment that “I’m a ticket out” which is the only reason why these women would be Interested in me, so I’d better watch out. Again, another one of the famous stereotypes about foreign women: They’re only out to get a U.S. citizenship.
I can’t explain all the reasons why this is another false allegation in one small blog post, you can get all the details in my book “The Global Dating Revolution.” But I’ll point out to the simple fact that foreign guys don’t have U.S. citizenship, yet all studies, and research shows that foreign guys have better love lives then American men? The reason for this is because they’re surrounded their entire lives by quality, attractive foreign women who have to claw and scratch for their (the guys) attention. The dating scene abroad far favors the men over the women, so while there may be a few vixens looking for a ticket out, the interest, smiles, and flirting you receive from foreign women is in most part due to the dating environment these women live in.
It was an interesting conversation indeed, and I think it typifies the interactions some of you may have when speaking to friends, family and co-workers about traveling abroad to meet women. I hope that through my book and blog I can arm you with the right knowledge to refute these falls claims and allegations about foreign women and foreign countries.

5 Things I Wish I Knew About Women and Dating When I Was 22
Posted on October 19th, 2009 No commentsIf I had a time machine I wish I could go back in time to advise my younger self to do things differently when it comes to women and dating. Knowing what I know today I could have saved thousands of dollars, untold amounts of energy, and tons of effort. Even though I had an average love life, I can just imagine what things would be like if I had focused my time en energy not on spending to impress the local ladies, but saving to invest international dating.
1. The International dating scene is 10 times better then the best dating scene in the U.S. I can go on and on about why this is the case, but that’s just the way it is these days. Someday 100 years from today, this may not be the case, but as it stands today, if you really want to supercharge your love life international dating is the way to go.
2. There are millions of available foreign women online, and they’re eager to meet regular guys. Every day more and more foreign women make it online. The sheer numbers of foreign women available online is staggering and the figure gets larger every day. You don’t need to travel any longer to meet foreign women. You can meet them from the comfort of your own home, and decide to travel later.
3. Traveling is not as expensive as it seems. Considering that you can a ticket to Costa Rica for sometimes as low as $200 dollars round trip from New York to San Jose, travel is not expensive as it seems. When I was younger I didn’t know you could stay at hostels for as little as $5 dollars a day (Sometimes less), or that tickets could be so cheap. If you’re really on tight budget there’s still ways to swing a trip. Back when I was 22 I would routinely spend $100-$200 just on a single night out to New York City. If I could cut back on weekend expenses for a month I’d have enough for a 1 or 2 weeks stay in Costa Rica.
4. Foreign women are naturally friendly and no extra mind games are needed to meet and date them. When I was 22 I was certain that “seduction” tactics were necessary to get anywhere with women. I didn’t realize that they’re only necessary in places where the dating scene is stacked against you. In places like this you need something to stand out, and if you don’t have the looks or money, you’re going to need some routines, mental mind games, and be able to talk your way into romance. This isn’t necessary abroad. A simple Eminem style “Hi, my name is…” will do just fine. The foreign women will take care of rest.
5. It’s all about ROI. If you want to be successful in any part of life you have to look at the return on investment. Today I know that the ROI for trying to dating locally here in New York/New Jersey really isn’t all that great. So I invest my money, time and energy in the international dating scene. It’s the same reason why many investors are now investing their money abroad and not in U.S. stocks and assets. The ROI of foreign investments has been much greater in the past few years. So when it comes to my love life, I now prefer to invest in international dating and foreign women.
If you were giving advice to your 22 year self about women and dating, what would it be?

Love Beyond Boarders
Posted on October 17th, 2009 No comments
A few months ago I got a call from a guy name Carlos Duran, formerly from New Jersey, but now living in Costa Rica. It turns out that a short while after I had written my book on foreign women, he too had also written a book on the topic. After reading Carlos’ book on foreign women I have to say that he did a great job covering all of the bases when it comes to meeting foreign women. I’ve read many, if not all, of the books that are out there currently dealing with the topic but Carlos’ book comes out on top as one of the best ones out there. For anyone that’s looking for a supplemental overview on meeting, dating, and marrying foreign women I suggest you get Carlos’ book. After speaking with Carlos personally I can vouch that he’s a stand up guy who practices what he preaches. He married his foreign girl a few years back and is currently happily living in Costa Rica with his wife and kids.
