  • Too Many Hot Women to Compete With

Posted on June 4th, 2010 Dan DeLa Cruz No comments

“There’s just too much competition. There’s too many good looking women around here to compete with.” That’s what she told me as we were riding in the taxi. We were headed down Calle 72 in the northern part of Barranquilla. It was our second date, and we were headed to the mall to walk around and do some window shopping.

I’m not sure exactly how it came up. But it wasn’t the first time I’ve heard attractive women complain about the tough female competition in Latin America.

The thing that always gets me, is that I’ve never heard a woman complain once about the tough female competition in the United States. But in Latin America, no matter what country I’ve been to, I always run into women who complain about the dating environment.

I’ve heard it from Ecuadorian women, Brazilian women, Colombia women, Peruvian women, and even Bolivian women, just to name a few. Not every girl complains but enough women complain to the point where you start asking yourself? Is there really something to this?

But when it comes to American women I’ve never had one complain in my presence. I read an article on a website about an American woman who couldn’t compete with the Latinas in Miami, but other then that, it’s never happened.

So what gives? Are Latinas just whiners? Or is there something else going on here?

10 years ago I might have just chalked all this complaining to coincidence. But today I’m a much more experienced guy, and I know the REAL reasons why so many women complain in Latin America. I’ve cataloged and detailed everything in my book about International Dating and Foreign Women. Once you read it, you’ll have the upper hand over all those guys that have no clue why Latin American women complain about their local female competition.

  • International Dating with Foreign Women – All Hype Or The Real Deal?

Posted on March 10th, 2010 Dan DeLa Cruz No comments

The Global Dating Revolution BookAnyone who doesn’t really read and understand my material might get offended by some of my points of view on American women, and some of the things I say on my blog and in my books, for example my stance on obesity. Others who don’t take the time to understand my material will think I’m exaggerating, or making all of this up, for example why foreign women are a better option. Aside from the haters, most guys agree with me and appreciate the information I share in my books and blog. Most men who travel, have been abroad or have dated a foreign woman, agree 100% with my philosophy, my material and my approach to dating. I can say without a doubt that I’ve helped hundreds of men open their eyes to international dating, and they all thank me for it.

The core of my approach to women is to focus on the environment. Everything else is secondary. If dating attractive, feminine women who will appreciate you, be attentive to your needs and who will treat you like a king is your priority, then it’s best to put yourself in an environment where all your efforts will give you the highest return on investment. It’s all about ROI. Do you want to work twice, three times or ten times as hard to achieve this result? You wouldn’t want to work twice as hard to earn the same salary, why would you want to take this approach to one of the most important aspects of your life as a man?

There are many reasons why dating environments and male-female dynamics differ from country to country and region to region in the world. In the first part of my book The Global Dating Revolution, I explain all of these reasons, I lay out my case with concrete examples, real world statistics, case studies, and hard core facts. After reading the first part of my book you will understand the three basic causes of environmental differences. I’ll list all three along with one example of each and how it could effect your dating environment.

    Demographic Differences:
One example of a demographic difference is the ratio of men to women in a country or region. Certain parts of the world simply have better ratios for men. Other parts of the world have better demographics for women. It’s a known fact that countries like the Ukraine and Russia have a shortage of men which means the women in those countries have a much tougher time in the dating game. Here is quote taken from the library of congress:

“Most of the demographic disasters that have beset Russia in the twentieth century have affected primarily males. In 1992 the sex ratio was 884 males per 1,000 females; in the years between 1994 and 2005, the imbalance is projected to increase slightly to a ratio of 875 males per 1,000 females (see table 7, Appendix). Gender disparity has increased because of a sharp drop in life expectancy for Russian males, from sixty-five years in 1987 to fifty-seven in 1994.”

Apart from ratios there are other demographic differences which can greatly effect your dating environment. This is just one example but when you add up two, three or four demographic advantages available in some regions, you can start to imagine the great benefit in being somewhere where the demographics are in your favor and not against you.

    Cultural Differences:
There are many cultural differences that will effect the way women react towards men and treat men in certain cultures. The single most important difference in culture between countries like the United States and regions of the world which I feel offer the best dating environments is feminism. Feminism in many western countries has taught women to become more masculine, combative, and less feminine. However, this movement hasn’t really taken hold in places like Latin America, Eastern Europe and South East Asia. In these regions of the world women are still the feminine creatures they were meant to be. They won’t hide their emotions, they won’t feel weak for cultivating or expressing their femininity. In the United States however, many women feel being feminine is a sign of weakness. Most men who have date foreign women from the regions I recommend, have expressed the same views, and prefer feminine foreign women, as opposed to masculine American women.

    Socio-Economic Differences:
Another great force that is often overlooked but effects certain dating environments greatly are the socio-economic forces. One great example of this is immigration. There are a great deal of people that don’t really appreciate how much immigration can effect the dating environments of the two regions effected by the immigration. Lets take a look at one specific region: The Americas. During the past 50 or so years we’ve seen massive amounts of immigration from Latin America to North America, not to mention the immigration of people from other parts of the world to United States. Millions upon millions of migrants have moved to North America.

The fact is that men outnumber women in this migration by a factor of 2 to 1 maybe even 3 to 1. The biggest differences are in the illegal migration of men, which is almost entirely made up of men and is harder to account for and work into these statistics. This isn’t something that is isolated to the United States. Europe has seen a flood of male migrants from Eastern European countries such as Turkey, as well as from Northern Europe and Latin America. But, you might be asking what does this have to do with the dating environment?

If millions of young men move into your back yard, that means more competition for you. But back in the regions where these men are coming from, you’ll find all of the women that were left behind, who are now single, and who probably have a tougher time dating men because many of the men who would have been prime candidates in their age range, have gone abroad in search of work.

    Bottom Line:
The bottom line is that when you take into account all of these environment differences in different dating environments around the world, you can get a broad picture of the whether the environment is favorable to the men or favorable to the women.

When it’s boiled down to it’s simplest form, my approach to dating looks something like this:

Let’s say there are two night clubs in town. Both night clubs have the same crowds every night.

Club “A” always has 100 guys and 50 women. In this club the ratios are in favor of the women and obviously the odds are against you.

Club “B” is a bit far, but even though it takes longer to drive there, this club always has 100 women, and 50 guys inside.

Each club has a different environment, club A favors the women overall, and club B favors the men. All other things being equal, any guy in his right mind would want to be in club B. There may be a small amount of hyper-competitive men who like the lesser odds and the competition in club A, but for the most part, most men will prefer to be in club B where there are 2 women for every man.

My approach to dating is to find the club B’s of this world. In other words, find the best places for men around the world. These are places where the environment puts the dating game in their favor, and these are places where dating, relationships and romance stop being so difficult and become more natural, and easy (at least from man’s point of view).

Through my book “The Global Dating Revolution” I explain why these best places are Latin America, Eastern Europe and South East Asia. I explain in full detail the obstacles and pitfalls that many uninformed men run into and I also guide you step by step through the world of International Dating and cross cultural romance.

    Other Factors:
Apart from all of the examples listed above, being a foreigner in a foreign land gives you a heads up against the local men, and a great appeal amongst the women, for many reasons as well. There are many other factors at play here, too many to list in one post but let’s just say that when you add everything up, the sum is often greater then the parts, and meeting and dating women abroad is the real deal.

  • Taking The Bus In Barranquilla Vs Taking The Bus In New York

Posted on February 19th, 2010 Dan DeLa Cruz No comments

I was on my way to a mall to do some grocery shopping. I was dressed casual, nothing fancy. A blue hat, a white t-shirt, some blue jeans and my comfy sneakers. Most of the time I would have taken a taxi, but this time I decided to take the bus for kicks. Sometimes taking the bus can be a great way to meet women.

I knew where the bus stop was, a few blocks over. As I got closer I noticed a very nice looking woman who was dressed like she had just gotten out of work from the office. She was looking very professional yet attractive. I sort of knew what bus to take, and what to do, but I decided to ask her for help just to see if I could start a conversation.

I asked her if this was where I can take the bus, and she said told me that it was. I made a comment that I didn’t know the bus routes yet, so I had to ask around all the time, I said this with a smile. She asked where I’m from? And I told her I was from the U.S. and that I was just visiting. I asked her if she was from Barranquilla and she mentioned that she wasn’t. She was from a city about 3 hours away, but she was living there because of work and University.

At this point we had only talked for about 30 seconds and bus came. I let her get in first and she sat down at on the first seats. I got on and paid my bus fair and then sat across the isle, but right next to her. After I sat down she got up, and paid her fair, and then sat down in the isle behind me. I was about to put my right arm back and over the chair so I could turn and still engage her in conversation, but before I could move, she asked me to come sit next to her. This was a surprise. I’ve spoken with women in New York and New Jersey on the bus before, I’ve never had a woman ask me to come sit next to her.

I take a seat next to her and we chat some more for about 2 minutes before we get to our final destination. It turns out we were both going to the mall. She was going to meet a friend to talk about a job opportunity and I was going to do my grocery shopping. When I mentioned the grocery shopping she mentioned that if I wanted one day she would come help me do some shopping because she knew where to get the best prices. Again, another surprise: An attractive young professional, educated woman offering to help me with my groceries only minutes after meeting me. I thanked her and told her I’d take her up on her offer. We exchanged a few more sentences and then she invited me over for lunch the next day at her apartment. She asked me if I had a phone, and of course I do, so she asked me to take down her number and call her the next morning so we can arrange a time for lunch.

I use to work in New York, and I use to take the bus into the city from various places in New Jersey, and back to New Jersey from New York. I struck up conversations with many women on the bus, at the port authority, and bus stops, but in my five plus years working in the city and taking the bus to work, I never had an interaction that flowed as easily, and effortlessly as this one.

This is just one of many examples of what the women are like in foreign countries. YES I know not every interaction will be this positive or flow this effortlessly, but it just goes to show you what’s possible with international dating and foreign women. Even if just 2 out of every 10 interactions flow like this in Colombia, back in New Jersey/New York, it’s never this easy, effortless, and fun!

  • Why Do These Girls Get So Dressed Up For The Airport?

Posted on January 2nd, 2010 Dan DeLa Cruz No comments

“Why do these girls get so dressed up for the airport?” That’s what the two American girls behind me were saying about the Latin women who were also waiting on the check in line for our flight to miami. There was a stark difference between the two. The American girls looked like they just hoped out of bed. They both had baggy sweats and baggy sweaters on. Their hair was a mess and they honestly couldn’t care less.

It was a 6:40 am flight and I can understand that maybe they didn’t bother because the flight was so early, but from their attitude I wouldn’t be surprised if they would show like that for a 4:00 PM flight. Even though it was an early flight, the Latin women on the line found the time to “dress up”.

On the flip side, the Latin women were all very presentable and some were even very dressed up. I wouldn’t expect less. An “Americanized” Latin girl may step out in public in her sweats and baggy shirt, with her hair all over the place, but a real Latin woman wouldn’t dream of leaving her house if she doesn’t fix helself up a bit.

It’s part of the Latin American culture. In Latin America there is much more competition among females. I explain in full detail why this is the case in my book, “The Global Dating Revolution“, but I also touched on the subject in a post I made about American Vs Latin women in Miami.

American women “slack off” because they can. But foreign women never let their guard down in this aspect. Even though foreign women may not have as much income to give themselves a Jenny Jones makeover, they do their best with the tools they have to always look their best and always try to draw the attention of men as well as the women they feel they’re competing with. If you doubt my point of view, you can read an article from an American girl who agrees with me, its called It’s not easy being a white girl in Miami.

  • An American Girl In Miami Can’t Compete With All The Latinas

Posted on October 23rd, 2009 Dan DeLa Cruz 4 comments

Miami Latin WomenI ran into an interesting article over at visavisamag.com titled: “It’s not easy being a white girl in Miami“. It was interesting article about an American woman who doesn’t feel she can compete for the attention of men in Miami because of all of the feminine Latin women who among other things, stay in shape, don’t gain weight, dress to impress, and aren’t afraid to show their feminine curves.

The article didn’t surprise me one bit. And one particular part of the article really struck a cord with me. Lyn Millner, the author of this article writes: “Miami pulses, thrums and throbs with sex. The climate helps, but mainly it’s the café-con-leche goddesses with full lips, unruly hair and inviting eyes. These women would look gorgeous if they made no effort at all. But they dress up even when they go to the dry cleaners – in body hugging T-shirts, low-slung jeans, short skirts and strappy heels. Having a less-than-perfect figure doesn’t stop a Latina. She simply knows what to do. She is never overweight; she is unapologetically curvaceous. OK, so I’m generalizing, but this is what Miami looks like through a white girl’s eyes. There’s a negative way of looking at it. Val says the women in Miami dress like prostitutes.

Everything in that article makes sense, however that last sentence is something that I’ve heard before word for word. Many years ago one of my good Latino friends named Javier was dating an American white girl from Northern New Jersey. They met in college and dated for many years. When they first met, his girlfriend was slim and attractive, but over time, as happens with many American women, she put on a lot of weight. A few years into their relationship my friend Javier who was from Santa Cruz Bolivia decided to take a trip back home. His girlfriend was madly in love with him so she decided to surprise him by going herself to Santa Cruz Bolivia.

What she found when she arrived in Santa Cruz Bolivia was definitely not to her liking. Santa Cruz much like many other foreign cities is a city well known for it’s fierce female competition. Ladies compete amongst themselves by staying in shape, flirting aggressively, and overall being very very feminine and girly. If Miami is the equivalent to a AK-47 then a city like Santa Cruz is an A-bomb.

Javier’s girlfriend had a tough time dealing with all the sexy Latin women who were flirting with her boyfriend. When she came back from Bolivia I asked her how her trip was, and guess what: She said she hated it, and that she’s never going back to Bolivia. And much like many American women’s defensive reactions to foreign women, she stated that “Bolivian women were sluts and that they dressed like prostitutes.”

    Sound familiar?

It seems that now and days American women fall into two groups. One group accepts the fact that foreign women are more feminine, sexy, and attractive in many ways. They look to foreign women as an example of femininity, and try to learn from them. Then you have another group, which is probably the larger of the two, who feels threatened by these foreign ladies. Their only defense mechanism is to attack foreign women with generalizations, insults, and negativity.

I’ll end this blog post with one final excerpt from the article:

“I teach a class once a week at Florida International University in North Miami. The students are mostly women – from Argentina, Venezuela, Chile, Puerto Rico, all points Caribbean – and, always, there are one or two male students who look stunned the first day and spend the entire semester sneaking furtive looks at the females.

The only reason I’m able to muster the courage to show up week after week is that I’m invisible to these women. College instructors are expected to bulge in all the wrong places, have no hair or be missing an eyeball – like a child’s favorite doll.

In Miami, men pay attention to exotic women. It’s all about dark. Dark hair, dark eyes, dark skin, dark mystery. White girls can’t compete. If we look like soccer moms, it’s because that’s the best we can do. At a party one time, a hot guy struck up a conversation with me by asking whether I had kids. When I said, “No. Why do you ask?” he told me I looked like the perfect mom. Seeing my reaction and sensing he’d said something wrong, he backpedaled. “I meant that in a good way. A pretty mom.”

  • American Women Vs Foreign Women

Posted on April 16th, 2009 Dan DeLa Cruz 4 comments

    OVERVIEW:
Over the years, through traveling and interaction with foreign women I’ve realized that there are many differences in the way they act, think, and carry themselves. Foreign women aren’t as guarded, they’re more friendly for the most part, are more prone to be family oriented. In this article and video I list some of the differences I’ve noticed about foreign women.

    WATCH THE VIDEO:

    READ THE ARTICE:
Is there really a difference between the women of most advanced and economically developed nations (Australia, U.S, Canada, Western Europe – I’ll refer to all of these women as “American women” for the sake of clarity within this article) and those of the developing nations (Latin America, Eastern Europe, South East Asia – I’ll refer to all of these women as “foreign women” throughout this article)? I firmly believe, as many other men do, that there are some deep rooted differences.

In many respects these foreign women are giving American women a run for their money. Many men are flocking to marriage agencies, international dating sites, and embarking on trips to foreign lands in search of romance with these foreign women. Marriage between foreign women and American men is at an all time high, and growing each year.

So what makes these foreign women so different from American women?

#1. Foreign women tend to have more traditional, old fashioned values. The type of values that many American women had back in the early and mid 1900’s. In many ways, these old fashioned values have been lost with American women. Much of this is due to the women’s liberation movement. Although this movement brought about many positive changes for women, it also sacrificed many of the old fashioned, family oriented, values and placed women’s primary focus not on the family, but on their career. Foreign women tend to put their family first, before anything else, even their careers. In a sense many of these foreign women are not unlike the grand mothers and great grand mothers of the current generation of American women.

#2. Foreign women tend to stay in shape much more then American women. There is no doubt that the wealthiest countries are suffering from an obesity epidemic. Many studies have shown that women more prone to gain weight then men. In the United States for example, women are more more prone to be obese even at young ages. This is not only a health issue, but it robes these women of their feminine curves. Foreign women don’t have this problem. They maintain their feminine curves even into their 30’s and 40’s.

#3. Foreign women treat men better then American women. One small example is the fact that many foreign women love to cook for their man. It’s not uncommon to find women that love to cook not only for their partner, but for their entire family. Foreign women don’t see these types of acts as burdens, or forms of submissiveness. On the contrary, they see these types of acts as privileges, and it solidifies their roles within the relationship (and family) as a nurturing and caring figure.

#4. Foreign women are less materialistic. Foreign women who have grown up in less developed countries not fallen prey to the consumer-driven mindset many American women (and men) have been indoctrinated into. They’ve learned to get by on much less. They’ve probably sacrificed material things throughout their life, and they’ve learned to cherish and care for the things that really matter. In this way, foreign women are much easier to please when it comes to materiel wealth. On the other hand, many men find it hard to please American women who have become accustomed to a certain level of material wealth.

#5. Foreign women love North American, and Western European men. Just as foreign women treat men better then American women. American men treat foreign women better then their local men. Many of these foreign women have to deal with men who don’t appreciate them, cheat on them, and an environment that favors men in many ways. American men are a much welcomed change for foreign women, because they treat them better on many levels. It this sense it’s a match made in heaven because both parties treat each other better then what they are accustomed to.

#6. Foreign women are more open to dating older men. It’s not that uncommon for foreign women to date much older men within their own culture. My mother was 10 years younger then my father. I’ve known foreign couples where the man was 20 years older then woman. The popular Mexican artist wrote a song title “40 and 20″ (40 y 20 by Jose Jose). It was a love song about a 40 year old man who was dating a 20 year old woman, you can find it on youtube.

With the advent of the Internet, it’s getting much easier for American men to meet and correspond with foreign women. Foreign women have never been more accessible then they are today and for many American men, like myself, they have become the better option. This is not to say there aren’t women in the United States or Western Europe who have all of these qualities. There are many good, old fashioned women, who take care of themselves here as well, but I’ve found that all of the these women are already committed and taken.

So there you have it. Let me know what you think, I welcome all comments and feedback.

    Regards,
