  • The Risks And Rewards of Dating Foreign Women

Posted on June 9th, 2010 Dan DeLa Cruz 2 comments

A lot of times when I think about international dating and meeting and dating foreign women, especially when traveling abroad is involved, I think about the investing in foreign markets. You might think this is a weird connection, but let me explain…

About three years ago before I started traveling full time, I started to get worried about the U.S. economy. Real estate prices were tumbling for months on end, and most people in the main stream media were forecasting a booming recovery. There were a few people who I happened to catch by luck that seemed a bit more realistic, and who were predicting a huge downturn.

I read up on both sides of the story and the “dooms day” people seemed to have a lot more common sense and facts behind them.

Many of these “dooms day” investors had been recommending investing in foreign markets for the past 10 years and they had seen much better returns then in the U.S. markets. Regardless of this, most of consensus among mainstream investors was that the U.S. was by far the safest place to invest, hands down, no questions asked.

I decided that the mainstream media was just propaganda, and I decided to listen to the few investors who were investing abroad because this strategy made more sense to me.

I don’t have a lot of money to invest but I decided to move the little I had over to foreign markets, which by mainstream standards was the riskiest move of all.

Three years later, I can tell you from personal experience, that I made the right choice. Many of my acquaintances, co-workers and friends got killed in 2008 in the U.S markets, and they still haven’t recovered to this day. Meanwhile I’ve seen my investments increase dramatically, even with all the volatility in the global markets.

So this brings me back to my original point. If you ask 90% of people they think your crazy if you invest in foreign markets and not in the U.S. but all these people missed the boom in foreign markets over the past 10 years.

It’s the same with International dating. Most people will throw out objections and reasons why you shouldn’t travel to Colombia, or Costa Rica, or Brazil or a host of other places to meet women. But those are the same 90% who probably missed one of the best investment opportunities of the decade: investing in foreign markets and precious metals.

Yes there are risks to traveling to places like Colombia. Mainly safety. But the risks are well worth the rewards. And it’s not a warzone either. It’s not like you’re heading into Baghdad. There’s probably more petty crime in Colombia then your own back yard, this is true, but if you take the recommended safety precautions, and don’t let yourself get taken advantage of, the risks are minimal and the rewards are probably better that anything you’ve experienced.

You can call me the Dr. Doom of U.S. dating. I’m telling you dating abroad is the better option. I’ve written a book about why it IS the better option, and I’ve listed all my research including government, and international statistics that are hard to argue against. It’s called The Global Dating Revolution. I’m not telling you it’s risk-less, nothing in life is risk-less, but the risk of staying local and not really having the options with women that you really want are much worse in my mind then having a bit more physical risk in a place like Brazil or Colombia but being satisfied with your relationship or your dating life.

  • Too Many Hot Women to Compete With

Posted on June 4th, 2010 Dan DeLa Cruz No comments

“There’s just too much competition. There’s too many good looking women around here to compete with.” That’s what she told me as we were riding in the taxi. We were headed down Calle 72 in the northern part of Barranquilla. It was our second date, and we were headed to the mall to walk around and do some window shopping.

I’m not sure exactly how it came up. But it wasn’t the first time I’ve heard attractive women complain about the tough female competition in Latin America.

The thing that always gets me, is that I’ve never heard a woman complain once about the tough female competition in the United States. But in Latin America, no matter what country I’ve been to, I always run into women who complain about the dating environment.

I’ve heard it from Ecuadorian women, Brazilian women, Colombia women, Peruvian women, and even Bolivian women, just to name a few. Not every girl complains but enough women complain to the point where you start asking yourself? Is there really something to this?

But when it comes to American women I’ve never had one complain in my presence. I read an article on a website about an American woman who couldn’t compete with the Latinas in Miami, but other then that, it’s never happened.

So what gives? Are Latinas just whiners? Or is there something else going on here?

10 years ago I might have just chalked all this complaining to coincidence. But today I’m a much more experienced guy, and I know the REAL reasons why so many women complain in Latin America. I’ve cataloged and detailed everything in my book about International Dating and Foreign Women. Once you read it, you’ll have the upper hand over all those guys that have no clue why Latin American women complain about their local female competition.

  • Seeking Opportunity Abroad In International Dating

Posted on May 15th, 2010 Dan DeLa Cruz 2 comments

A recent article on Newsweek titled “Seeking Opportunity Abroad,” detailed how an increasing number graduates from the U.S.A’s top business schools are seeking jobs abroad instead of staying right here in the United States.

Here’s a small excerpt of the article:

When Mahesh Murarka graduated from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in June 2009, he shunned the traditional B-school path of accepting a job in banking, consulting, or marketing in New York, London, or San Francisco. Instead, he returned to his native India to work for a reinsurance company with headquarters in Switzerland. “There is a lot more opportunity here right now,” he says. “The change in India is mind-blowing.”

Many of the nation’s top business schools report an increase in the number of students who are interested in working overseas in emerging markets such as India, China, Russia, and Brazil. Roughly 25 percent of recent Wharton M.B.A. graduates are now working abroad, compared with 16 percent a few years ago, and the trend no longer applies simply to international M.B.A. students who opt to return home after earning their degrees. In addition to working in finance and consulting, these M.B.A. students are moving overseas to work in real estate, investing, energy, and infrastructure. “It definitely feels like it’s not a temporary hiccup,” says Michelle Antonio, director of the MBA Career Management at Wharton. “The students feel like that’s where the action is.”

What’s good for the MBA is good for the average guy who wants to better his dating results. If there can be more opportunity abroad for a person’s career. Or if there can more investment opportunities abroad. Or if companies can see more opportunities to expand abroad. Can there also be opportunities to better your dating results abroad?

The answer is: Can I Get a Hell Yeah!?

There are places on this planet where dating, and meeting women is tougher (from a man’s point of view). There are also places in this world like Latin America, Eastern Europe and South East Asia where meeting women and dating is easier. Of course nothing will be handed to you on a silver platter. There are obstacles to overcome, like language, culture, time constraints, etc.

Despite all international dating obstacles it’s never been easier to expand your search for women, love, and romance abroad. My global dating program and international dating guide, will walk you through the entire international dating process including how to navigate International dating websites, marriage agencies, travel, scammers, and everything else you need to know to have international dating success.

You can get it by clicking here.

But regardless of all the obstacles the bottom line is that there is more opportunity abroad, both for recent college graduates, and for regular guys who want want to improve their dating results.

  • How To Greet Latin Women With A Kiss On The Cheek

Posted on April 7th, 2010 Dan DeLa Cruz No comments

Kiss on the CheekIf you run into a Latin women anywhere in this world, or anywhere in Latin America this is a useful little tip that will get you started off the right foot.

Generally in Latin America anytime you greet someone from the opposite sex you extend your hand do small handshake or hand clasp and then pull her in for a small cheek to cheek kiss. This move includes the first time you meet someone.

The following is an excerpt from my book The Global Dating Revolution on page 175 explaining the whole process:

A cheek to cheek kiss is a great way to start the interaction. It brings you in very close right from the start, and the women can get a sense of your colgne and presence.

Cheek to cheek kisses are reserved for the opposite sex, don’t ever try to kiss a guy on the cheek. Although French and Italian men do kiss each other on the cheek, this does not happen in Latin America, except for maybe Argentina.

As a man you’re expected to initiate the cheek to cheek kiss by leaning in and puller her hand in gently at the same time. You don’t actually put your lips on her cheek, especially if it’s your first time meeting her. What you do is press your cheek gently against hers, and make a kissing sound.

If you’re meeting a group of girls, don’t just kiss the girl you like on the cheek, kiss all of them on the cheek. Normally it would not be polite for a woman to refuse a kiss on the cheek. However if you don’t start of with a kiss on the cheek from the very first interaction it might feel a bit awkward to do it later on, especially if you’ve already met the woman many times.

One great way to judge a woman’s attraction towards you is the kiss goodbye. As you get more comfortable with a woman your cheek to cheek kiss can a bit more intimate by bringing your lips a bit closer to her lips every time and judging her response. If you’re both feeling the chemistry a goodbye cheek to cheek kiss where the side of your lips brush her’s can lead to a full blown kiss or make out.

The Cheek Kiss Play By Play:
Let’s say you’re right handed. What you would do is the following.

    • Extend your right hand, for a handshake
    • Smile and introduce yourself, just say your name listen for hers (do this while your extending your hand)
    • Even before you have a full grasp of her hand start to lean in, but once you do have a hold of her hand you opt to shake it gently or just pull her in gently
    • Turn you’re head slightly, exposing your right cheek and bring it towards hers. Remember always use your right cheek
    • Your cheek should touch and brush hers
    • Make the kissing sound, like a small smooch
    • Pull away gently always smile
    • You can add a “mucho gusto” optionally, which means nice to meet you
    • Make sure you do all of these things in one fluid motion

How To Greet People In General In Latin America

It’s also important to greet everyone in the room when you enter. North Americans are notorious for entering a room and just giving a “hey, howdy, hey!” to everyone. That is considered very rude to a Latin. Here you enter a room, and go around the room greeting each person. Kiss every woman on the cheek, even older women and younger women, and shake every man’s hand. When you depart from a gathering, you should generally also say goodbye to everyone individually. The handshake or kiss is repeated at departure.

    Cheek Kissing Videos:

This first video is a video that explains the origins of the cheek kiss, and gives you some great examples and explanations of the cheek kiss:

This second video is from a Latin American soap opera. You’ll notice that the father kisses the mother and daughter both on the cheek but with his lips. The guy dating the girl gives her a kiss on the cheek goodbye but it’s a bit more intimate because their lips come very close.

  • Class Division and Women In Latin America

Posted on March 11th, 2010 Dan DeLa Cruz No comments

Latin American is a very large region with a population almost double that of the United States. However, most of the countries in Latina America share one thing in common: a very pronounced class division based on economic prosperity. Certain countries like Costa Rica and Chile have less income and wealth inequality, therefore their class division isn’t as pronounced, but practically every other country in Latin America has these pronounced social borders that separate the different economic classes.

Much of this class division stems from the fact that Latin America is the most unequal region in the world in terms of income distribution. Although the level of poverty, violence, and underdevelopment is no where near many of the African countries the reasons why Latin America is the most unequal region is because very few people hold untold amounts of wealth, while the rest of the population gets by on very little. This doesn’t mean that most of the people in Latin America are starving, but it does mean that many people struggle economically, meanwhile the wealthy live like kings and take vacations to Europe, and North America like it’s nothing.

Most of the inequality in Latin America is not due a lack of talent, or willingness to work of the general public. The lack of progress in equalizing the wealth in these countries is due mostly in part to due to a continuing cycle of inequality, where corrupt governments promise change, only to rob and steal from the people and allying themselves with a few powerful interests and looting the countries coffers for themselves.

When you interact with a foreigner or a foreign girl, her outlook on life and her attitude will depend largely on which social class she belongs in her country.

    Upper Class:
These are the minority and the wealthiest people in any country. The upper class throughout Latin America is very small but they’re also very very wealthy. Upper class people enjoy perks, and lifestyles that 95% of their countrymen don’t.

When it comes to meeting and dating an upper class Latin American girl, it may be much like dating an American woman. In many cases it’s because these women have had lavish lifestyles, and maybe even spent time abroad, for example getting an education at an American university. Overall I’ve noticed the most Americanized social class is the upper class, and for this reason when I’m in Latin America it’s just not my thing. Having said all this, if upper class women are your thing, I’m sure you’ll be able to find some humble, down earth, upper class Latin woman, if you look hard enough, but I wouldn’t overlook the middle, and upper middle class women.

    Middle Class:
The middle class is larger then the upper class and can range anywhere from 10% to 30% of the population but is still very small compared to the middle class of other regions of the world, particularly the United States. Middle class people are generally more humble then their upper class counterparts. These are generally the people who vacation locally or to countries near by, they may have a family car and live in a decent home, and study at the 2nd tier universities. In general I find middle class women the best choices for dating abroad.

    Lower Class:
The lower class population is usually the largest segment in most Latin American countries. In general this segment of the population lives in the more dangerous sections of town. Although they aren’t starving, they get by on very little. Usually it’s tough to get an college education because of the need to help the family out and work even starting at a young age, and because of the lack of money for an education.

The problem you’ll have with these women is the fact that they live in dangerous neighborhoods and the fact the most important thing for them may be economic stability. However, if you know how to navigate these waters, you’ll be able to weed out the the women who are only gold digging. Other then that, these women are easy to please material wise, they’re humble, and hard working.

    My Strategy:
I generally like to meet and date women from the range of “lower-upper class” all the way through the “upper-lower class” (if that makes sense). If we broke up the social classes into 6 divisions, 1 being the lowest and six being the highest (wealthiest), like they do in Colombia, I would probably say I aim to stay in the range from 2 through 5.

  • International Dating with Foreign Women – All Hype Or The Real Deal?

Posted on March 10th, 2010 Dan DeLa Cruz No comments

The Global Dating Revolution BookAnyone who doesn’t really read and understand my material might get offended by some of my points of view on American women, and some of the things I say on my blog and in my books, for example my stance on obesity. Others who don’t take the time to understand my material will think I’m exaggerating, or making all of this up, for example why foreign women are a better option. Aside from the haters, most guys agree with me and appreciate the information I share in my books and blog. Most men who travel, have been abroad or have dated a foreign woman, agree 100% with my philosophy, my material and my approach to dating. I can say without a doubt that I’ve helped hundreds of men open their eyes to international dating, and they all thank me for it.

The core of my approach to women is to focus on the environment. Everything else is secondary. If dating attractive, feminine women who will appreciate you, be attentive to your needs and who will treat you like a king is your priority, then it’s best to put yourself in an environment where all your efforts will give you the highest return on investment. It’s all about ROI. Do you want to work twice, three times or ten times as hard to achieve this result? You wouldn’t want to work twice as hard to earn the same salary, why would you want to take this approach to one of the most important aspects of your life as a man?

There are many reasons why dating environments and male-female dynamics differ from country to country and region to region in the world. In the first part of my book The Global Dating Revolution, I explain all of these reasons, I lay out my case with concrete examples, real world statistics, case studies, and hard core facts. After reading the first part of my book you will understand the three basic causes of environmental differences. I’ll list all three along with one example of each and how it could effect your dating environment.

    Demographic Differences:
One example of a demographic difference is the ratio of men to women in a country or region. Certain parts of the world simply have better ratios for men. Other parts of the world have better demographics for women. It’s a known fact that countries like the Ukraine and Russia have a shortage of men which means the women in those countries have a much tougher time in the dating game. Here is quote taken from the library of congress:

“Most of the demographic disasters that have beset Russia in the twentieth century have affected primarily males. In 1992 the sex ratio was 884 males per 1,000 females; in the years between 1994 and 2005, the imbalance is projected to increase slightly to a ratio of 875 males per 1,000 females (see table 7, Appendix). Gender disparity has increased because of a sharp drop in life expectancy for Russian males, from sixty-five years in 1987 to fifty-seven in 1994.”

Apart from ratios there are other demographic differences which can greatly effect your dating environment. This is just one example but when you add up two, three or four demographic advantages available in some regions, you can start to imagine the great benefit in being somewhere where the demographics are in your favor and not against you.

    Cultural Differences:
There are many cultural differences that will effect the way women react towards men and treat men in certain cultures. The single most important difference in culture between countries like the United States and regions of the world which I feel offer the best dating environments is feminism. Feminism in many western countries has taught women to become more masculine, combative, and less feminine. However, this movement hasn’t really taken hold in places like Latin America, Eastern Europe and South East Asia. In these regions of the world women are still the feminine creatures they were meant to be. They won’t hide their emotions, they won’t feel weak for cultivating or expressing their femininity. In the United States however, many women feel being feminine is a sign of weakness. Most men who have date foreign women from the regions I recommend, have expressed the same views, and prefer feminine foreign women, as opposed to masculine American women.

    Socio-Economic Differences:
Another great force that is often overlooked but effects certain dating environments greatly are the socio-economic forces. One great example of this is immigration. There are a great deal of people that don’t really appreciate how much immigration can effect the dating environments of the two regions effected by the immigration. Lets take a look at one specific region: The Americas. During the past 50 or so years we’ve seen massive amounts of immigration from Latin America to North America, not to mention the immigration of people from other parts of the world to United States. Millions upon millions of migrants have moved to North America.

The fact is that men outnumber women in this migration by a factor of 2 to 1 maybe even 3 to 1. The biggest differences are in the illegal migration of men, which is almost entirely made up of men and is harder to account for and work into these statistics. This isn’t something that is isolated to the United States. Europe has seen a flood of male migrants from Eastern European countries such as Turkey, as well as from Northern Europe and Latin America. But, you might be asking what does this have to do with the dating environment?

If millions of young men move into your back yard, that means more competition for you. But back in the regions where these men are coming from, you’ll find all of the women that were left behind, who are now single, and who probably have a tougher time dating men because many of the men who would have been prime candidates in their age range, have gone abroad in search of work.

    Bottom Line:
The bottom line is that when you take into account all of these environment differences in different dating environments around the world, you can get a broad picture of the whether the environment is favorable to the men or favorable to the women.

When it’s boiled down to it’s simplest form, my approach to dating looks something like this:

Let’s say there are two night clubs in town. Both night clubs have the same crowds every night.

Club “A” always has 100 guys and 50 women. In this club the ratios are in favor of the women and obviously the odds are against you.

Club “B” is a bit far, but even though it takes longer to drive there, this club always has 100 women, and 50 guys inside.

Each club has a different environment, club A favors the women overall, and club B favors the men. All other things being equal, any guy in his right mind would want to be in club B. There may be a small amount of hyper-competitive men who like the lesser odds and the competition in club A, but for the most part, most men will prefer to be in club B where there are 2 women for every man.

My approach to dating is to find the club B’s of this world. In other words, find the best places for men around the world. These are places where the environment puts the dating game in their favor, and these are places where dating, relationships and romance stop being so difficult and become more natural, and easy (at least from man’s point of view).

Through my book “The Global Dating Revolution” I explain why these best places are Latin America, Eastern Europe and South East Asia. I explain in full detail the obstacles and pitfalls that many uninformed men run into and I also guide you step by step through the world of International Dating and cross cultural romance.

    Other Factors:
Apart from all of the examples listed above, being a foreigner in a foreign land gives you a heads up against the local men, and a great appeal amongst the women, for many reasons as well. There are many other factors at play here, too many to list in one post but let’s just say that when you add everything up, the sum is often greater then the parts, and meeting and dating women abroad is the real deal.

  • To Russia For Love: Mail Order Brides

Posted on March 5th, 2010 Dan DeLa Cruz 3 comments

The following is a great documentary about Russian women, and the mail order bride movement in Russia. Much of the same cultural, demographic, and environmental undertones that create such a great dating environment for men in Russia also apply to South East Asia and Latin America. I discuss all of these environmental differences in my book “The Global Dating Revolution.” Much of what you’ll see in the video should go hand in hand with much of the material I teach in my book and through my websites. Nick Vivion, creator of the film recently had this to say about mail order brides and the small documentary he created:

I went to Russia in 2006 to do a story on mail order brides, called “To Russia For Love.” It was fascinating to hear the reasons these women had for seeking foreign men. Primarily it had to do with the traditional values – the woman was the homemaker and the male was the breadwinner. I couldn’t believe that so many women were seeking this out – it seemed that feminism had barely made a dent in Russia… and having seen a couple of Russian men beat their wives on the streets (and the fact that so many Russian men have died in wars, making the ratio of women to men much higher – and therefore men harder to get), I can understand why women look outside of Russia for love!

  • Why Time Can Be Your Biggest Allie With Foreign Women

Posted on February 8th, 2010 Dan DeLa Cruz No comments

When your traveling abroad and you get to a new country or city it takes a little while to adapt to your surroundings. Some people adapt in a week, but others take longer. It also takes time to build up a social circle, make new friends and learn your way around. For all of these reasons I always recommend at least three weeks in one location.

One perfect example is getting to know the night life. Usually when you get to a new city you won’t know what the best hang outs, bars, and clubs are. Most cities have places that are THE places to go on certain nights. Even if you ask the locals, taxis, or people you meet on the streets, the reality is that this information is usually hit or miss. Some people will send you the places THEY like, but they may not necessarily be the best places to meet single foreign women.

This is where persistence and time comes in. Make a note of where you go on what night, and how good the environment is. Ask the people that work there what the best nights are, ask the people inside the bar the same thing, and make a note. As time goes on you’ll be able to find the best spots on each night, and you’ll be able to find the best weekend hang outs. If you’re lucky you’ll find these spots in the first week, but sometimes it takes up to three or four weeks on constantly going out to start to find the really good places to meet single women.

Don’t move around too much. Stay in one place, get to know it, make friends, and be persistent. Sometimes things don’t start getting REALLY good until the last week. Although I recommend at least a three week stay in one place, if you can swing more then three weeks, then by all means do so.

  • Why Do These Girls Get So Dressed Up For The Airport?

Posted on January 2nd, 2010 Dan DeLa Cruz No comments

“Why do these girls get so dressed up for the airport?” That’s what the two American girls behind me were saying about the Latin women who were also waiting on the check in line for our flight to miami. There was a stark difference between the two. The American girls looked like they just hoped out of bed. They both had baggy sweats and baggy sweaters on. Their hair was a mess and they honestly couldn’t care less.

It was a 6:40 am flight and I can understand that maybe they didn’t bother because the flight was so early, but from their attitude I wouldn’t be surprised if they would show like that for a 4:00 PM flight. Even though it was an early flight, the Latin women on the line found the time to “dress up”.

On the flip side, the Latin women were all very presentable and some were even very dressed up. I wouldn’t expect less. An “Americanized” Latin girl may step out in public in her sweats and baggy shirt, with her hair all over the place, but a real Latin woman wouldn’t dream of leaving her house if she doesn’t fix helself up a bit.

It’s part of the Latin American culture. In Latin America there is much more competition among females. I explain in full detail why this is the case in my book, “The Global Dating Revolution“, but I also touched on the subject in a post I made about American Vs Latin women in Miami.

American women “slack off” because they can. But foreign women never let their guard down in this aspect. Even though foreign women may not have as much income to give themselves a Jenny Jones makeover, they do their best with the tools they have to always look their best and always try to draw the attention of men as well as the women they feel they’re competing with. If you doubt my point of view, you can read an article from an American girl who agrees with me, its called It’s not easy being a white girl in Miami.

  • Why Competition Between Foreign Women Breeds Excellence

Posted on November 7th, 2009 Dan DeLa Cruz No comments

In the study of Economics you will learn that competition within a market will bring about better products at lower prices for the consumer. The basic principal behind this is that competition breeds excellence. It’s true in the business world, it’s true in nature, and it’s also true in our dating environments.

The truth about this world is that not all dating environments are created equal. Some regions and countries drastically favor men, while other drastically favor women. There are many economic and cultural forces at play which result in these pro-male and pro-female environments. I detail my research in the first part of my book “The Global Dating Revolution” as to why countries such as Canada, U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Germany, and United States are pro-female or anti-male regions. Often in my book I distinguish between these two regions by calling them Upper and Lower tiers, based on their economic classification.

If you’re dating just about anywhere in the U.S. you’ll be competing for women but with handicaps. This extreme competition among men will force you to improve yourself or be left out of the race. While there are many men who just can’t hang with the big boys in this rat race, there are plenty of willing competitors and this breeds an army of eligible bachelors in a tough dating environment for men. For any woman in this dating environment practically everything is in their favor. Any attractive girl in this pro-female environment will have everything practically handed to her, and the lack of obstacles for the women causes them to be complacent. Many gain wieght, they don’t take care of themselves, and many of them don’t’ improve themselves because they know or feel that the handicaps are not on them, but on the men. This is the ying, now it’s time to look at the yang.

All you have to do is reverse this scenario when you look at places like Eastern Europe, Latin America and South East Asia. These regions are pro-male regions, and regions of the world where the intense competition is not between the males, but between the females. For this reason foreign women tend to put more time into staying in shape, and into their looks. They put more effort into keeping their men happy, and more effort into flirting and getting a man. While it’s almost impossible to find an very attractive American girl who will act needy towards you, it’s almost commonplace to run into this in these foreign regions where women have to climb “up hill.” The truth is that if you want to find the best dating pools in the world you have to go to places where the women are competing for the men, and these places are South East Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe.
